The gala is an annual fundraiser that allows IDA to continue to provide great programming. This year’s theme for Disability Inclusion Week (20 24 September) is Invisible Disabilities. The Invisible Disabilities Association (IDA) hosts the Invisible Disabilities Week each year in October. These long-term Covid-19 health issues represent a new form of invisible disability, adding to the thousands of debilitating conditions collected by the Invisible Disabilities Association. ![]() IDA also hosts an annual awards gala during Invisible Disabilities Week to which you can start a Virtual Table and invite your family, friends and co-workers to raise funds with you, or join an existing table, including an award recipient’s table. The goal of this annual campaign is to bring awareness, education, resources, and support to family, friends, co-workers, and the millions of people who live daily with illness, pain and disability around the world. It is National Loneliness Week in the UK from 12 th to 18 th June and in the US, a recent survey found that whilst loneliness is decreasing since the pandemic, still 17 of Americans report.
